THIRD: Stay off social media. It is hard to believe, but social media is used by law enforcement to support theories and gather evidence against Defendants. Unbeknownst to people, social media is a powerful tool law enforcement agencies use to track and convict persons. STAY OFF OF IT!!!

FOURTH: DO TALK TO A LAWYER. At this junction, call and make an appointment with an attorney. You never know if your phone has been tapped to capture conversations. Although attorney-client communications are privileged, unless the relationship exists, the cops can use your conversations even with lawyers.

The conversation at the lawyer’s office is confidential, even if you do not hire the lawyer. As a result, go ahead and share everything, I mean everything, with the lawyer that you want to hire for the representation. Your lawyer must get all the facts just as they happened. Do not withhold information from your lawyer.
